Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima OnRamp LX and we're gonna see how it fits in the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now this is gonna be a platform style bike rack, which means the bike sits on top of these trays, and this one's going to hold the bike by the frame primarily. These cradles will be able to move up and down this mast, rotate around 360 degrees and adapt to meet your frame where it's at. So a good option for alternative frames. And there's gonna be some secondary points of contact down on each wheel. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ford Maverick- Video
Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at our Saris MHS Basket and Bike Kit, and we'll see how it fits here on our 2022 Ford Maverick. This is gonna be one of my preferred kits because it allows you to carry around your bike of different shapes and sizes, but also carry around some cargo, and you have the fun adjustability of the MHS base. This is the 2+1 base with these accessories. Now, one really cool thing about this too is that when you tilt this whole system away, you are still able to open up your tailgate. Hi, everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris Freedom two bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. This is gonna be a platform style bike rack that can carry up to two bikes. It holds the bike in these two wheel cradles and primarily by our frame using a third cradle with a strap around it. So one thing about this cradle to know is that it's completely height adjustable up and down the mast independently from one another so they're not gonna interfere and it does rotate 360 degrees. more

This is gonna be a platform style hitch-mounted bike rack capable of carrying up to two bikes, each up to 67 pounds. So it is gonna be e-bike friendly. This uses a dual wheel mount design, meaning that it holds a bike by both tires and makes no frame contact, making this a great option for our carbon frame and alternative frame bikes because we're not relying on that frame to hold the bike. It does a really good job at holding the bike in pretty solid. more

The front tire's held in by a wheel hook so it makes zero frame contact, making this a good option for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ford Maverick- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman XTC2 TILT and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now, the XTC is a platform-style bike rack, holding the bike in these wheel hoops on either side and by our frame, utilizing a frame clamp or a hook in the center. Now, because of the frame hook, in any sort of frame contact, we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes. And because it uses a hook rather than a cradle with a strap, it's not gonna be the best fit for alternative frame bikes, because those downward sloping frames, you're not gonna be able to get a good grab on it with these hooks. Something like a bike adapter bar is going to be needed to ensure a proper fit, and you can find those here at etrailer, just making sure that if you've got one of those bikes, you have that in mind, and maybe look into a different style of bike rack. more

It doesn't make any frame contact with the bike, so it makes it a great option for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and with the 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it can handle some e-bikes too. Now, like many other kinda higher end platform racks, this does have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here with the etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Away Bike Rack on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now, the after party's gonna be pretty unique in the sense that it has this swinging base. So, it has a tilting feature like many other bike racks do but the swing arm is what makes it work so well with the Maverick, because of where the hitch is located and the size of the tailgate. A lot of bike racks, if they do have a tilting feature, don't clear with the tailgate so you don't really get to use that function. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ford Maverick- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination e-bike rack on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. The destination e-bike is an e-bike centric rack. It's gonna have a 70 pound capacity per bike so it's gonna be able to handle some of our heavier e-bikes too. It does make frame contact on the bike with our frame clamp up top so we are gonna wanna avoid carbon frame bikes with this. That clamp does pivot around 360 degrees and can be moved around this mast to match up to your bike frame. more

The SuperClamp is a platform-style bike rack that holds the bike in these wheel cradles, has some wheel straps there as secondary points of contact, and primarily holds the bike upright using two wheel hooks. It has zero frame contacts, it's gonna be good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it's gonna be able to handle some e-bikes too. With this, you do have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded. There's a handle that says pull right at the end that we can use to ease the whole rack down. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination four bike rack on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. This is a platform style bike rack, holds the bike in these trays and by our frame. We've got a cradle with a strap run around the frame to keep it upright as well as two straps on the bottom to help hold it down and in place. It does make frame contact so carbon frame isn't gonna be the best option for this bike rack. With it though, these cradles do slide up and down independently from each other and rotate 360 degrees. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. The RidgeBack is a hanging-style bike rack that can carry up to four bikes. Because it's a hanging rack, we do probably wanna avoid carbon frame bikes because hanging by the frame can damage it. With alternative frame bikes and kids bikes, we're gonna wanna make sure we get a bike adapter bar to make sure that the bike either hangs level or in the case of the kids' bikes, make sure that it fits over this dual-arm design. These dual arms aren't super friendly to those smaller kids' frames, so that's just something to be aware of. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer Platform Style Bike Rack on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now, this is gonna be a platform rack like I mentioned before. It's gonna hold the bike in these cradles, there's two wheel cradles and a front wheel hook, that's gonna be a thing that primarily holds the bike upright, and then there's a back wheel strap as a secondary point of contact. That means there's gonna be zero frame contact, so for our carbon frame bike we're using today, it's gonna be just fine, it's also gonna work really well with alternative frames. One thing you do wanna keep in mind though with this version of the rack is that it's not the best choice for e-bikes, it only has a 40 pound capacity per bike, so it is something to kinda be mindful of. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination two bike rack on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick and seeing how it fits. To start off using the bike rack, you want to get it unfolded. It's already installed in the hitch and it's really lightweight and easy to get in there. So from here we just wanna unfold it and get the bike loaded up. There's an anti-rattle, threaded pin on the side that you can remove and that'll open it up to tilt or fold flat rather and then you can resecure that once it's folded out. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ford Maverick- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro and seeing how it fits on our 2022 Ford Maverick. This is gonna be a hanging style bike rack that holds the bike up here by the frame hanging down below it. We've got two rubber straps over top the frame, keeping it down into our deep cradles as well as a third one around the seat post limiting our side to side movement. That's gonna help with bike to bike contact. And although it doesn't eliminate the movement it does help quite a bit, and because of those deeper cradles, it does eliminate a lot more movement than some other hanging style racks do. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Premium on our 2022 Ford Maverick. This is gonna be a hanging style bike rack that can carry up to four bikes and the bike's gonna hang by the frame. Now that is gonna mean we want to avoid carbon frame bikes because that can damage the frame and with alternative frame bikes, we probably wanna pick up a bike adapter bar to make sure it hangs level. Otherwise, though, it's gonna work well for a wide variety of bikes, the biggest being kids' bikes because the arms actually narrow together at the end of the rack so it's more accommodating for those small frames. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ford Maverick Y02463- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt hanging style bike rack on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. To get this bike rack installed, we've got to get it into the hitch first. It will fit in a two inch by two inch or an inch and a quarter receiver tube. We've got our two inch receiver tube today and it uses the included adapter sleeve. Now on the front mast of the bike rack there is a black lever that I can pull to release the shank and actually fold it out and it'll lock in place. more
